Lincolnshire Police

Could someone fill me in on what happens at attestation for special constable? Is it a big thing with family Invite or private with just newly appointed specials, also do you wear uniform or just suits? Random question I know, I was just day dreaming about the day! Haha

I am currently a Special Constable with Thames Valley police and I am thinking of moving back to the Lincolnshire area. Can anyone give me any advice about joining Lincolnshire Specials, for example will I have to re train or can I transfer in? Any contact details etc . Any information would be appreciated.Many thanks.

hello! i'm from lincoln, currently studying engineering at leicester uni. got my letter back from leicestershire police this week saying i'd failed my assessment day by 2% i need to decide whether to reapply in 6 months for leicester specials or to apply at home in lincoln. i'm just wondering if i would get my travel costs paid back for travelling to lincoln during weekends when it's term time? it would make sense to apply to lincoln specials as in the holidays I would already be there and wouldn't need to commute at all! Thanks.

Hi I've just joined today and was looking for some information. I just wanted to know how to join as an ex military personnel, I've just found out this month I'm possibly on the redundancy hit list as I've done over 12yrs service. So wanted to get some info on here so I can decide weather to jump before I'm pushed. I always wanted to join the Police Force from a young age and it appears I might be able to get my chance so wanting some information on recruitment age and also how easy it is to be vetted if your still serving in the Armed Forces. If anybody can give me some useful info I would be very appreciated. Thank you

Hi Im new, and have applied 2 weeks ago for the SC in Lincoln, i've recieved a letter back saying they have recieved my application and that they will notify me in due course if my application is succesful. Does anyone who's been through the process know how long i should expect to wait? should it be days/weeks/months? I really want this and i'd be gutted to not get through.
