Hi guys Coming up to being signed off as independent. Just wondering the sort of time period between becoming independent and doing the basic driving test?

Its seems a long time since we have all communicated? I left a year a go by retirement but it seems to have gone dead Lets get Lincs rocking again

Hello All - Happy New year! Just a quick question, I have my uniform fitting on the 12th of this month which im rather excited for, my training starts on the 24th of this month also. My question is, what is actually involved with the training? What will i be doing for Lincs police over the next few months of training. Many thanks, James.

what could I expect? I did see in a old post that it lasts for 70 minutes, I'm just wondering if this is the same or if it has changed since 2012 Only general answers please I.e how long it's going to be etc.. Edit: This is for Special Constable.

Good evening PS, Anyone else on this intake? I heard there are 10 of us. Personally, I am just awaiting medical clearance and then I presume a formal offer of appointment will be in order. Looking greatly forward to it!

Just had my call about feedback on my application for lincolnshire specials, I received full marks on my effective communication, however race and diversity let me down, from the feedback I needed to go into a little bit more detail and need to be more challenging, in the scenario I gave, any tips for that part of the application? Cheers!

Anybody else on here that is starting Lincs Pol as a PC in July?

So, after all the hoo-ha about training dates and the like, I have spent two weeks waiting for a callback from recruitment about a number of issues. They'd sent me a DNA screening appointment for mid morning, mid week, despite me saying I'd need to drive the three hour round trip *after* work and also no-one had got back to me regarding whether I'd be able to work out a way around missing a weekend training because of a pre booked holiday. Hi there, Looking to apply for the Specials with Lincolnshire Police. Just have a question regarding travel to training and duties. Do you receive a mileage expense for travel to training and duties? Thanks Jay

I am transferring to Lincolnshire soon and I'm looking for a outline of what lincs is like for a special in regards to getting on courses. I have found out I can keep my ips and driving grade but what is it like for other things such as PSU and moe etc? Also what's grantham like to work ?

Anyone out there know what happens in the medical for Lincs specials? I'm not at that stage yet, (Passed my interview, waiting on vetting forms) but I'm just curious to know what's involved in the medical. Also another point, I've seen for some forces that in the medical that anyone with a BMI over 35 isnt accepted, Is this the same for Lincs? I'm not drastically overweight or anything but I am a large fella (6ft2, very stocky) and when i've been weighed previously I was around 125-130kg. I'm trying to get fitter for this role but I'm worried ill be knocked back in the medical if the BMI rule is the same for Lincs, I'll be devastated if i get knocked back at the fina…

Today I found out that I passed my interview for Lincs Specials and I know that soon I will be onto the vetting stage. A quick question about it, When I was 17 I was fined £30 (non-endorsable offence) for not having my helmet fastened correctly whilst riding my moped, (it was the button, it wasnt clicked together and the officer said it still wasnt safe). I didnt appeal about the fine and just decided to pay it and get over it. (I Wasnt very happy) My question is should i mention this at the vetting stage? The offence happened under Humberside Police, will it show up for Lincs? (Probably a silly question but im kinda new to this). If i do mention this at the vetting…
