Hi, Anyone on here waiting for an assessment on the 7th or 8th of May? Be nice to hear how others are getting on. Could any current specials tell me where the assessments are likely to be held?

8 part documentary on bbc 3 at 8:30 friday 4th feb. anyone who is interested the first episode is about the custody suite with Humberside police. educational!

Got issued my kit the other day, i understand the basic equipment. and i have noticed the ticket book pouch. does anyone use it? it is large enough to be a tent......

Apparently, A Div are getting 5x brand new fully marked Ford Fiesta's in November on a 6 month trial. Anyone else heard anything?

Have just read the East Riding Mail which includes a piece saying that Humberside Police are looking to recruit more volunteers. However, when I go on the website it states that they are not recruiting. Left hand right hand !!

I had my interview and sat exam on the 3oth oct and am thrilled to bits, recieved a letter saying i meet the required standard..... yeah sent of medical and in process of doing vetting, was wondering how anyone else did who was there on same day.

hi all . i have just about completed my latest model which is an autoart 1/18 subaru impreza humberside police which has been totally stripped down and had custom fitted working led lights which are multi patterned 9 seq in total,the lights have been specially made in america and have been made to a very high standard. car requires new livery fitting as when i bought it livery was damaged.which i will get done and fitted off richie of t.o.t models who makes police livery for scale models and who is also a serving officer with cleveland.before selling on ebay hope you enjoy the photos. cheers dave

I have been informed i am in the RESEARCH stage of vetting? Any ideas?

Just been reading other sections of the fourm, it seems some forces do not issue all equipment, for example WPC in one section only recive a stab vest after 12 months service and some forces don't issue boots. just wondering what the equipment is like for humberside thanks :-)

Just a question to all specials and regualrs or even hopefulls. Where in humberside are you based? e.g. (town, station, area, city) or would like to be based :-)

So I've got my assessment centre this weekend and have been practising my competencies. Just really a couple of questions on the 'Recruitment Process; Information for Candidates' booklet. The 35 minute interview, it states, will assess you on six different competencies: Knowledge & Understanding Personal Responsibility/ Resilience Respect for diversity - Community and Customer Focus Negotiating and influencing Team Working Problem Solving Oral Communication Firstly that's a list of seven, but I suppose oral communication will be assessed through out, no?
