Hi everyone. I was wondering if anyone had any more details about the eye test involved during the medical? My eye sight is shocking, but perfect after corrected by contacts/glasses. Does this mean I could possibly fail?

Hi all. Just a quick note to say thanks for all the information you've provided me with. Although I only submitted my application a few weeks ago, I have been forced to withdraw as I have received an offer of full-time employment in Southland. I haven't given up on becoming a SC and will be applying to Kent Police, but wanted to give you all thanks for answering my questions (either from my posts or through the posts of others) during the initial part of my Humerside application. I just hope that they have Protons in Kent Police to remind me of the times I could have had with Humberside... S

Hi, I'm attending the assessment centre on the 17th March. I know there're many threads on what to prepare for etc but I'm wondering is there any specifics you should prepare for (I'm aware of things like diversity etc just wondering about other things)? To those who have attended one in the past if you had to go back to the assessment centre again would you prepare more than you did & if so what on. Thanks, Josh

Hi all, has anyone been given the date for the 18th Feb for the specials intake. HR have informed me that this is when they expect me to start training at Courtland Road. Hep B Jabs started with prick one taken like a man (lol) I am currently waiting for the final part of vetting (home office stuff) but i have been provisionally granted security clearence. Also which Divs are we going too? i'm hoping for A Div

Hi and sorry for gate crashing the Humberside site. Just wandered if any of the team that came over to join us for training at the weekend use this site? It was great to see you all and I hope you enjoyed the training, you all did a cracking job despite us rushing through a lot of the content you picked it up really quickly so well done. I hope none of you minded the shouting and pushing, as mentioned nothing personal (honest) Have fun using the skills you learnt and we will be watching to see how it's received at your end and how the team can develop. Could somebody tell me if Humberside's fitness requirements have changed. or what they are in the first place?

Just wondering what actual level is attained during the First Aid weekend with Humberside Police? When I did mine D.W. said it was above the level for Nominated First Aider in the workplace, but you get nothing to say that i.e. no certificate. The people who have done it can you let me know what level it is at please - I have recently applied to volunteer for St John Ambulance and would like to tell them what my level of attainment is from Humberside Police. Hi all! I was at the recruitment presentation on monday, and i filled in the form to get a application sent to my email. Just wondering if anyone knows how long it takes for them to send them? If i havnt recieved it by up-coming monday i will give them a ring, just wondering of a time scale as i know the next assessment centre is in early March. cheers

when am i likely to hear back about becoming a special constable and how long will it be till i become one roughly?

Hi, I am interested in joining the Police Force. I would like to start off as a Police Special then apply for a full time Police officer later on. I was just wondering what was the minimum age you have to be to apply? I am currently 17 and not 18 untill October. If anybody could reply and get back to me that would be great! Many Thanks.
