I had my final in-house interview at the beginning of August 2014 and haven't heard anything progressing my application since. I was told at my interview that they were doing two intakes, october and january. I emailed HR and they said that the next batch of fitness/medical tests will now be feb/march time. Anybody else in a similar position??

So I failed my final Interview for Cumbria back around June time last year however I received an email on Tuesday totally out of the blue, as I have had no contact or re-applied anywhere since the generic failure email I received last time round, asking if I would like to re-take the final interview as my SEARCH AC is still valid. They are hoping to do these interviews mid-March onwards apparently. I checked their website and they aren't even currently recruiting on there or maybe it has been open and closed again and I just missed it, I don't know :S Was just wondering if any1 had heard similar news?!?!

HI guys, so I dd the interview and got a call to say that I'd been sucessful, and then I got an email saying that I'll be getting medical in OCtober and then up for intake early 2014. Just wondering really if there is any others on here for this?, and how long training lasts etc. Congrats to all that passed!

Hi, ive got my assesment day this saturday at 09:00 at penrith and im a little bit nervous. if anybody as been there if so please help i dont know if ive been learning the right stuff because the practise questions that was sent was really easy so im not sure if its going to like the questions or something different. also how can i dress? im really stuck as it is quite a big deal for me, im suprised i even got this far to be honest haha.

Are all officers on the south based at barrow or are there satellite stations that they can be based at as well such as Kendal? Just wondering how it works on the south.

Just wondering if any officers who are currently going through or have just completed training would be able to answer some questions. 1. Do the force offer accommodation for training? 2. What is the duty rota for officers? 3. How long are you training before you get sent to your stations? Thanks in advance.

Hi, I'm from a busy city force with just shy of 10 years service. Looking at transferring to Cumbria for something a bit(!) different, and to be closer to the Lake District and my girlfriends family in Northumberland... Anyway, if anyone can offer some advice or support about the process (I've got an application form), about the structure of the force, about how things are post-cuts, opportunities for development/career progression (I'm OSPRE qualified but I'm not just necessarily interested in promotion), I'd really appreciate it.

Does anybody know how the duties are in Cumbria? Also what are the earlies, lates and nights hours of work and shift lengths. Are they 8, 10 or 12 hr?
