Hi All, Im a newbie here, so if ive posted this in the wrong place, I do apologise. Im currently in the process of being appointed to Cumbria, having passed the PIRT, JRFT and medical along with various interviews I was rung the other day and told that HR and Occ HEalth had reviewed my situation and decided because of an optomertists report that I will be risk assessed and in due course notified. ( I do meet the requirements but have a certain deficiency). My Question is; Are there any others in Cumbria (Or nationally) That have had these risk assessments done, and if so, how long did they take on average... Up to now its been one big waiting game and no one in either…

I just got an email confirming my place at the opening evening, apparently there's a waiting list in place now. Is there anyone else going to this on Thursday? I applied for the last opening for this position and failed at the final interview last month :new_doh2: So hopefully I'll be able to find out where I went wrong for this time.

Hey, just me again, ain't been around here in a long time. Not since I asked about eyesight requirements in my other topic. I'd put off applying for a long time due to my current work department having a few problems, in turn making time off for training and in the long run, or any feasible time to do any patrolling (assuming I could even get get the 2/6 weeks off for training or however long it may have be with Cumbria Constab) But now I'm a bit more understanding of the process, talked with a few specials from around the UK and one question that I seem to have failed to have asked is, or questions rather... - Do I need prior work experience? How is it automatic rejec…
