Hi everyone, Im currently going through the recruitment process with Hampshire and Surrey. I have been accepted into Hampshire and been given a provisional start date.... itching to get going but as per others its taking a while! Hello, my name is Simon and I am a former police officer from Devon and Cornwall Constabulary, where I served from 99- 2008. In 2008, I left the UK and joined the Calgary Police Service in Alberta, Canada, where I have served ever since. I try and keep tabs on policing in the UK, hence the reason I am applying to join the forum. I hope to give a perspective on North American policing and moving abroad for the job. Cheers Simon

Hello! I'm currently in the application process to become a Special Constable with an interview scheduled. So still a very long way to go and anything can happen but it's been interesting so far, learning a lot just from the process. Prior to applying I talked to a Regular Constable at some length, attended an information session, read numerous documents on here. In addition, to prepare for the interview I have been through a variety of documents (e.g. code of ethics, annual and planning docs from the force to which I applied for their values, objectives, etc.). It's also pushing me to get back into proper shape quite rapidly Thanks for reading! F.

I was told early June that I had a conditional offer from Cleveland Police And I just have a few questions I sent my vetting form the day after I heard the good news, do I get a confirmation this is complete/will this have been completed yet? I have now been to the medical, fitness test and my uniform fitting, is that a good sign that all other aspects have been completed and I'm on my way now? Are there any other things required after the uniform fitting? Thanks in advance
