(37 Months on each count concurrent) The smuggling attempt was uncovered by Border Force officers at Heathrow Airport on 26 June 2018 when officers stopped Jeffrey Lendrum after he arrived on a flight from Johannesburg. Return to News National Crime Agency investigators are appealing for information on the whereabouts of two men wanted for questioning in connection with a £4 million drugs conspiracy. NCA officers believe the pair are involved with an organised crime group responsible for importing cocaine, amphetamine and cannabis into the UK. Investigators want to speak to 51-year-old Desmond Broad – who is also known as Andrew Nicholas - and 48-year-old Alan Cumming about the importation of 200 kilos of both Class A and B drugs between March 2016 and June 2017. Abid Hussain, aged 50, of Wells Avenue, Wednesbury, who pleaded guilty to drug trafficking offences on the first day of the trial, was sentenced to eight years and one month at Blackfriars Crown Court. His accomplice, 55 year-old Janger Khan, of William Cook Road, Birmingham, was jailed for eight years and-a-half years.
