Interesting read, in my own experience I havan't been assaulted all that often and I'm a fairly proactive officer, I've rarely had to use my PPE beyond restraint techniques and handcuffs. I don't know if the environment has anything to do with it, we're certainly packed in on trains with rowdy football fans or just general drunks at the festive periods/race days.

Return to News 24 December 2018 A man has been jailed for four years after he was caught with £439,140 in cash in the back of his van in Poplar, London. Gintaras Kondrotas, aged 37, of no fixed address, was arrested in October following a joint investigation by the National Crime Agency and Metropolitan Police Service’s Organised Crime Partnership (OCP).
