Has a group ever been banned before by Police for possibly inciting violence? A festival organiser has criticised Wiltshire police after Pete Doherty's band Babyshambles were banned from playing his event next weekend. Moonfest organiser John Green said he was "absolutely appalled", adding the force had given the show, at Westbury, the go-ahead earlier this year. He said Doherty was "hugely disappointed" and had promised to play a free gig for fans another time. Police claimed in court that the band could incite violence. The case was heard on Monday at North Wiltshire Magistrates in Chippenham. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7570675.stm

This has been the prompt for many UK forces to trial, and begin issuing, hinged cuffs. Within only a few weeks, three U…

Police are "very, very worried" about the intentions of a number of eco-activists after a number of weapons were found at the site of an environmental protest camp, it was revealed. Speaking at a press conference, Assistant Chief Constable Gary Beautridge said that although the majority of protesters who have gathered at the Camp for Climate Action site near Hoo, Kent, were law-abiding, he believed that around 150 of the 1,000 expected to have amassed by the end of the week had more "sinister" intentions. He made the comments after a number of weapons were seized and arrests were made at the site on Monday night. Standing in front of an assortment of weapons that have …

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics...n-burglars.html From the Telegraph, does make me think, i pass a Police station most days at all hours on the way to work, and the carpark is open, with the marked cars easy to access. Its not a nice area and i do wonder why you dont see them trashed or stolen. Maybe its a nicer area than it looks.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/7558950.stm Police have eight crashes a week West Mercia Police were involved in an average of eight crashes a week over two years in Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Shropshire. There were 844 accidents between 2005 and 2007, figures have shown. The force said the fact a crash is recorded does not mean a vehicle actually collided with another one or that the police were at fault. It is compulsory to refer cases to the Independent Police Complaints Committee when there has been a serious accident. Seven such collisions were referred to the IPCC between 2005 and 2007 - two are still under investigation.
