Rural Special Constables From today, Special Constables are patrolling the countryside on horseback making more contact with farmers, game keepers and rural residents. The new role of the Rural Special Constable is being introduced so that police can work more closely within rural communities – as residents have previously felt neglected and have not always reported crimes (such as flytipping and theft of machinery) and to offer them reassurance by local people doing the job. Hertfordshire is one of the first forces in the country to introduce this position, and they are also one of the first to use their own horses to perform the role! http://www.heartdunstable…

http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/top-stories/2...15875-21773638/ Police are being advised not to use the “Evenin’ all” greeting made famous by TV’s Dixon of Dock Green – because of cultural differences So why is the word GAY any better or worse then HOMOSEXUAL? But you may (which is so kind of the think tank who thought this one out) use the word heterosexual, but not straight. Anyone who has had or has got a kid, must not say i have child but rather say i have a Young person at home. and a heterosexual indoors.

Is it just my ignorance, or Police Officers prepared to dress and act as prostitutes, something we will never see here in the UK? Or does it already happen? Is there a case of being tempted by prostitution once you are actually acting it out? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/...-World-Cup.html

Link here - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/8330930.stm Never been a fan of his since the "MORE FICTION THAN DICKENS" comments he made about a certain police officers blog. Also his subsequent appearance on question time left me so riled, the guy had his head in the clouds. I find it ironic, this guy is former minister for policing and crime, and along with Jackie SMURF the former home secretary ...they were in charge of the countries policing and safety.....no wonder its gone down hill when they cant control themselves and their own greed!!

A 33-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a Coventry fireman. Paul Gibbons, aged 41, died as a result of his injuries after an attack at Millsy's Cafe Bar in Earlsdon on Sunday night. The suspect was arrested this morning and is currently being quizzed by detectives at the Willenhall station. ** This occured on my OCU on Sunday night in a relatively trouble free wine bar, a place i have spent many an evening enjoying a drink, other press reports suggest he was felled by one punch and as he fell fractured his skull as his head h…

Absolute cockup by UKBA. And he wants to appeal whilst on the run. I can see why this would be 'ammo' for the BNP too!: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/lincolnshire/8322219.stm Death driver's appeal from abroad Syed Raza Raza said a bollard had obscured his view A student convicted of causing a crash in Lincolnshire in which a father and son died has lodged an appeal against his conviction from Pakistan. Syed Raza, 27, formerly of Newland Street West, Lincoln, failed to return to the UK for the trial last month. In his absence a Lincoln Crown Court judge sentenced him to three-and-a-half years in jail for the deaths of Michael Rowley, 41, and his son Jonathan…

Source A woman broke down in tears today as she told a jury how a Beverley policeman pinned her against her kitchen units and tried to rape her. The woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, said the attack took place as her young son was strapped into his pushchair in a nearby room. She told the jury at Leeds Crown Court today how the attack was carried out by Lee Rackham, an officer with Humberside Police. She said she got to know the officer following a domestic incident in which two officers, including Rackham, were sent to her house to investigate. In the days after, she claimed Rackham made numerous phone calls to her home and on one occasion turned up in h…

Announcement of specialist unit armed with submachine guns causes consternation amongst authority members. http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2009/oct/2...d-police-london just to get the ball rolling, were these authority members, showing consternation whilst the gangs had the guns, or only now the Police have them? "In a break with the traditional image of the unarmed bobby on the beat," Does this tradition also include the MOPs not having guns? Or is The gaurdian only after the Police?

Police chief's son brands women officers 'dykes' at riot training event A police chief was left embarrassed after his teenage son held up a banner describing policewomen as lesbians at a riot training event. Norfolk chief constable Ian McPherson's son Jack, 17, and several of his school friends had been told to taunt officers while playing the part of an angry crowd. However, the teenager took his provocation brief rather too far by unfurling a banner proclaiming: "All policewomen are dykes" and "I'm McPherson's son". Another comment referred to Mr McPherson's controversial decision to axe the force's diving unit last year Jack, an A-Level pupil at £11,043-a-year No…

"Armed police patrols are a leap in the dark, says expert" Original Source - Evening Standard (not sure how reliable they [Evening Standard] are, but it's an interesting read) A gun crime expert today called for an immediate review of plans to have armed police on patrols of London's streets. Dr Richard Grimshaw said the move was a "leap in the dark" and there was "no clear justification" for it. A team from CO19 firearms unit will be deployed to estates and streets to try to prevent shootings after a rise in gun crime. They will begin next month after a series of pilot schemes in recent weeks. It will be the first time in Britain that armed officers have been put on…
