Research Requests & Surveys

Posting Guidelines

From time to time users will post a request to our members to complete a survey or questionnaire for them, usually related to some university or college work.

If you have a survey that you'd like users of Police Community to complete, then please create it within this forum area. All requests will need to be approved by the Moderation Team before being visible to the members. Requests for forum users to complete surveys that are posted elsewhere will be deleted without consultation. You must enter a date that the survey or research project is due to be completed on so that we can remove it from our website once complete, this is so that users aren't left posting data to a survey that's no longer needed.

Hi police officer folks. I'm a former response sergeant, and now a researcher at the University of Derby, looking into the knowledge levels of the latest generation of cops. I'm wanting to assess the current levels of understanding about some of the ideas currently floating around in UK policing, and need your help! If you've become a cop since 1st January 2018, have 20 - 30 minutes to spare to answer some questions (on a constant watch or scene pres...), and want to be in with a chance of winning one of 6 £25 Amazon vouchers then click the link below, or scan the QR code! (sadly if you joined before this date, you're not eligible for this study I'm afraid)…

Hello, Hope everyone is well! I am a student on a postgraduate policing and criminal investigation course who is looking for participants for my dissertation. My dissertation explores how police handle instances of coercive control and prevent its escalation into more severe forms of abuse. If you're a training, serving or retired police officer your insights would be greatly appreciated! If you’re interested in participating in the survey (which would take only 10 minutes of your time) follow the link below. https://app.onlinesurveys.jisc.ac.uk/s/ljmu/dissertation-how-do-police-respond-to-coercive-control Thanks in advance,…

Hi, I am trying to collect firearm officers opinion of police specialism as it seems well established among firearm teams compared to other crime types. This is for my PhD study, so any insight would be incredibly helpful - it's a niche subject and I am finding it very difficult to gather the number of responses I would like. The link is here: https://uos.questionpro.eu/t/AB3uxNKZB3voC5 Any questions, I am here. Thank you!!

The study is completely anonymous and takes around 15 minutes to complete. For further information on the study please see the participant information sheet which prefaces the survey. Hi all, I am trying to gather insights from police officers (current, former, retired) in England and Wales on their ideas of police specialism and its impact (or not) at force level. This is a short online survey for my PhD. This is the first time a survey of this kind has asked police officers (rather than academics, or members of the public) what they think. I need the help of as many officers as possible to make my findings relevant and insightful. I currently have 75 full responses, and I would ideally need at least 100, so any contribution would be incredibly helpful. More information on my research methodology and background has been shared by the…
