Tribal Police detain Montana law enforcement officer

Tribal authorities detain Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks warden for 5 1/2 hours (2014). An interesting situation (in the US of course - where else!) where a State Officer of Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks Warden (who are state officers and protect the environment) is stopped from going on a county road through a reservation. The Tribal Authorities seem to dislike the State from going through, because of some hunting violation earlier on. It is very showing what happens when different levels of government fall out and what happens in the field.

Polizia di Stato (Ministry of Interior) plain mopeds make arrest: The 'lollipop stick' is called a paletta I believe and is a symbol of authority.(Each police force has their own name on it and it is used on roads). Could you get much more Italian!

The recent threads on people attempting to be something they are not reminded me of this. For those of you interested in some seriously amusing and repulsive behaviour from across the pond (FL), these videos are worth a watch. The background is the Florida man, Jeremy Dewitte, ex-con (arrested firstly in 1998 for impersonation after making off from petrol station after stealing $15 of petrol) causes mayhem! He set up a funeral escort company "Metro-State", (that clear descriptive name) which can use purple lights & sirens escorting funerals. He wears a black or grey police/security style uniform, enjoys carrying batons, spray, cuffs, a less-lethal but lookal…

I must say that I can't get enough of these. Essentailly a uniformed Lucas County Sheriff's Dept Deputy Sheriff went to a Federal IRS (federal office) in a city building. The armed private security officer, protecting the IRS office ended up drawing his weapon and pointing it at the deputy, who then is stopped trying to leave by the security officer. Toldeo Police Department officers responded to reports of an armed man at a tax office and were confused when they found out what was going on. Bodycams (police dept): News story In the US one generally can't carry in a federal building and they can be quite…

Watch: FBI agent locked in sheriff's dept patrol car

- Federal agent (FBI) was investigating corruption within a local sheriff's office. - In a plain car, plain-clothes (car was registered to a dummy company). - Said Sheriff's office deputy turns up and a deputy ends the idea of professional courtesy! - Essentially, the deputy was not happy with the agent's identity, but when it transpired he was a federal agent, it all went slightly Pete Tong, as they had already put the agent in a patrol car and he 'overheated', que rescue-ambulance arriving and taking the agent away. - The Sheriff himself had been on scene but disappeared rather swiftly at that point... - Pretty poor communication and fault on …

Interesting - and possibly unique - in a US city, Officers own their beats, are paid by local merchants and residents and have been part of the city since it began. Think they provide their own kit and police their own distinct area alongside the city police. (Recently been under threat by the city - video highlights that more, but does give background). Be a shame if such a community scheme dies off.
