I passed my PIR test and was excitedly waiting for a letter for my Special Constable (North Wales Police) interview, only to get one saying that I have been uncuccessful because a vetting/security clearance could not be granted. I have spent all my life being careful who I assosciate with and I have never been in trouble with the police or assosciate with people who do. I'm absolutely devastated. My half brother has had cautions but that was about 5 years ago and I am so hurt that I am paying for his mistakes whilst he's off doing the job he loves. He didn't even tell me he'd commited any crimes, thereore it's all come out now. Is there any way I can get around this?…

Went to my GP today to check procedure for Hep B jabs, was told it'll cost me £79.50 up-front! I know it'll be reimbursed but as I only work part time I can't really afford that. Anyone with the same problem?

Ok I have my PIR test tomorrow, I bought a book, it took ages to come and I've been over it again and again but I'm worried it's not good enough. The force has only provided me with their online practice paper, does anyone have anymore that they could send to me via e-mail just so I can practice, if it's ok to do so. Thank you.

Hi there, I was wondering if anyone from north wales police could help me? I have just passed my welsh test (already completed medical/fitness etc) and I am now wondering what to expect next. My last communication stated "we will contact you further in due course". Will the next port of call be an offer of a position or will it be a drugs test possibly or something else...? Any advice is much appreciated. Dan
