after seeing all the posts on the site about the met cancelling all applications, i was wondering if anyone in a similar situation as me could shead some light on what cheshire may be doing? ive passed my final interview and am waiting on a physical and medical. Ive been told this could take a long time to come around, and i am ok with that, as long as it DOES actually come around. Im prepared to wait as long as it takes to get a start date (its looking for me, a best case scenario would be march 2011 anyway). I was told at my A/C that "everyone who passes the recruitment process WILL get a job, it just may take some time". Does this still stand true? or can cheshir…

Hey, I see Cheshire are still open for transfer's from Officers out of their probation. Does anyone have any experience of going through this lately?. I am currently in the Police Service of Northern Ireland and fancy a change to a mainland force, any info would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Jim

Only just seen it now, so assume it's been updated in the last couple of days. Anyone else seen it? It looks very fancy and seems really user friendly.

Hi everybody, I've been lucky enough to get get a placement on the next seminar for PCSO for Cheshire:) Does anyone have a rough idea how long it takes? I know that it's usually faster than PC, especially now! GMP PCSO's said their about 4 to 5 months, I'm guessing that the forms will to be in for around the end of April / start of May if the seminar is the 7th April. Plus, Anyone else going for it? Donkey

Cheshire has adopted the NPIA's National Specials Recruitment Assessment Process which is an assessment centre consisting of a Situational Judgement Test, Written Exercise and Interview. Once a candidate has passed this they will progress to fitness test, medical, references and vetting checks.

I was in the Lancs Police process from Feb 09. My final interview was Sept 09 but it kept getting moved right until I received a letter last month saying, "sorry we budgeted for to many Officers, your Application along with everyone from the Feb 09 process has been terminated". I can understand your fitness & medical going out of date but I was told my AC Pass would also go out of date (AC Date-25 May 09). I also understand that the Chief Constable has the right to terminate any application without reason so am just cracking on. However, I'd rather not start from scratch so have looked who is recruiting in the North. I've heard Cheshire Police are recruiting in S…

Hi, I'm 16 and i'm studying Public Services in college hoping to join Chehire Police maybe after Uni, as I want a degree. Firstly what are the main requirements to get in the Cheshire Police force? I know you have to have good eye sight, fitness etc but how many GCSE's and A levels do you need? Anything else? Also what degrees would help to get promoted on a fast track system, or does Cheshire not have that? I know you have to complete exams to get promoted etc... Thanks a lot

Couple of questions on this; Is the bmi measurement taken as part of the physical or medical - I'm under the impression it's the latter. ? If your bmi is even slightly above 30, is that a fail?

Just thought I'd chuck a quick post up here seeing as every other force specific thread has new posts apart from this one, hehe. Did anyone else attend the recruitment seminar in February? I'm sending my completed app form off tomorrow and if I'm successful, it would be cool to get in touch with fellow AC attendees. Kev.
