Thousands of people who bought TV licences have been urged to check their bank statements for suspicious activity. From August 29 to 5 September 2018, around 40,000 transactions made on TV Licensing's website were “not as secure as they should have been”. The company is now advising anyone who entered sort codes and bank account numbers on their website during that time to check their bank accounts for any suspicious activity.
