A police constable has pleaded guilty to attacking two fellow officers during a drunken rage at her home. Sarinda Trudy Welsh, 39, smashed a glass tumbler against a wall and swung a baking tray at Pc Emma Cross and Pc Amanda MacKerill as they conducted a welfare check on her in Belvedere, south-east London. A police force has sparked outrage after it described tents apparently belonging to homeless people as an “environmental issue”. Camden Police tweeted pictures of the tents in Tottenham Mews, a cul-de-sac near Goodge Street station. Also pictured were clothes hanging over railings, as well as rubbish strewn over the floor. But the cops tweeted further pictures of the street once the tents and debris had been removed, with the caption: “Environmental issues at Tottenham Mews. Motorists could face fines and possible penalty points for driving at 1mph over the speed limit under new police plans, it was reported today. An official review is under way into the 'buffer zone' policy that protects drivers from punishment if they are caught driving slightly too fast.
