This is another topic that frequently raises its head on pol.com. I find it ironic that the Health Minister feels more can be done to protect staff yet offers little direction outside of the usual 'joint working' approach. As a frequent visitor to my cities A&E when dealing with prisoners, mental health patients etc it'll come as no shock to response cops here that you often end up leaving your oppo with a suspect to become defacto hospital security in dealing with violent and aggressive people who do go out of their way to target hospital staff.
