If it wasn’t the U.K. in 2019 I would think this was a mistake or a joke. See the jobs advertised in the Dept for Exiting the EU, notably - senior policy advisors and negotiations planning and policy advisors. Closing dates 6/7 October. So by the time we have left, do or die / dead in a ditch if we haven’t, we won’t even have recruited the staff who should be helping to plan and negotiate out exit. I can only conclude that No Deal was always the Govts plan - remember Bohnson saying it was a million to one shot a few weeks ago? No point in having negotiators in place for a deal if we were always going to leave without a deal.
