I need help dealing with a situation, I'm not sure how to handle it. So my best friend has been working in America for last 4 months and she returns a week today, and a couple of months ago I told her how I really felt and she responded really well, and we decided that we were going to start seeing each other when she gets back. The reason we decided when she gets back is in case either of us went out and met someone whilst out and ended up sleeping with them. So we arrange our first proper date for a week on Monday. We have spoken everyday since she has been gone and she sends me messages like "I miss you so much I can't wait to be back home so I can see you, I really …

Just a bit of fun research to find out the relationship status of the members of PS.com. :D I know it's not a comprehensive list (which I may have borrowed from Facebook), so forgive me if I haven't mentioned something that you can relate to. Now go forth and poll!

http://cuddlrapp.com An application used to meet people whom to cuddle with. Has anyone come across this yet? Has anyone downloaded and tried it? Has anyone met someone to cuddle through it? I won't judge. Promise.

Do you think it is worth paying for online dating site like match.com? I use the free sites Plentyoffish and OKCupid but have had no luck with those. Perhaps because match.com is paid there are more serious women on there?

Anybody downloaded it on iPhone or android? Anyone cringing as much as I am? For those that don't know what tinder is, it's an online dating App that connects to your Facebook account to retrieve your basic information (area, age) and photo's of your choice. You can then scroll through various people who live within a set radius and click yes or no. If you both click yes, a chat window opens and you can freely chat, meet up blah blah blah.

Greetings PS.com'ers, For those that don't know, I started going out with a German girl last August and, as it turns out, we are still together :D Now, I have been wondering, as a rookie when it comes to long distance relationships (I know England to Germany isn't far but bear with me here), I was wondering if anyone can offer me advice going forward. I'd appreciate serious suggestions on how to maintain the relationship and, how possibly to approach the topic of future plans (should we feel that is necessary further down the line) So if you are, or have been in a relationship overseas, any tips would be appreciated. As it stands, we talk most days and try to Skype e…

So here's my predicament, I'm currently "seeing" someone (seeing as in that stage between dating and being offically together as bf/gf) and have been for just under a month now. Things are going well and she's very keen. However we don't have much in common, infact the only thing we have in common is the that we both enjoy the gym (yay...). Now this person is an amazing person, really kind and thoughtful and wouldn't hurt a fly, however that i've gotten to know her more, I've noticed there really isn't that "Connection" between us, on my side anyway. Stroll in Person 2. There is girl at work who I get on rather well with, we have a lot of connections and have a good lau…

Does anyone have any suggestions for a first 'date'? Friend of a friend I have met a few times I would like to ask out for a drink or something, but wondering if anyone has any other suggestions on something to do? Cinema is a no no, as I want to get to know her, not sit in silence for a couple of hours. The few times we have met have been at the pub, so dunno if going for a drink would be a good idea? If anyone has any disaster stories about first dates, would love to hear them, should stop me worrying about mine then!

Dear Marge. I have a dilemma - my marriage has been going through a rocky patch for a fair while now - no secret to local people ! (nuff said!) However - my (female) friend, an ex-girlfriend from 30 odd years ago who I have never lost contact with has just asked me to join her on a 2 week Caribbean cruise. Apparently it has all been paid for, but she has split with her husband and now has no one to go with. With the way things have been here I am sorely tempted, but have made it clear - which has been accepted, that it would be 2 mates going away and nothing more. My wife seems to find it incomprehensible that a bloke can have a female friend without there being someth…

So as DC has been showing in another of these threads, there are some truly horrifically bad pick-up lines out there. But I'm sure there are some good ones to be found too. Now here is the place to share them. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And here's one which I have actually heard in action; "Do you believe in love at first sight, or should I walk by again?" It didn't go well.

So I was in town and was getting hungry, I popped into a coffee shop and grabbed a bite to eat and a drink. There girl who served me was really cute. But me being me I took my stuff, smiled and went and sat down. However during the entire time of me eating and drinking and couldn't seem to get her out of my head. Seriously! What the hell. By the time I was about to go, I had dedicated so I had devoted so much mental energy to her that it would be stupid if I went about my normal day. Before I then realised that I was approaching the counter and was asking for her name and introducing myself! Okay so it doesn't sound like a big deal. Well truly I have no idea a…

I read somewhere that chemicals in the human brain keeps relationship 'interesting' for 6 months - a year. Tradition states 'honeymoon' period is 6 months. After which reality hits and your other half turns from an angel to a human. I certainly found this true in all cases. Even when my ex was a very attractive brazilian girl, my 'interest' levels dropped after 5 months. Does it happen to everyone, or just me? or just 'police' like personality who like lots of variety (just a generalised personal opinion, considering in policing you never know whats around the corner).

So I am looking to get engaged this year or next. Any tips on saving for it?
