Good afternoon, My name is Finlay Robinson and I have just started out on this account because I am looking for advice. I am currently in college and hoping to join the Police Force as soon as I can, and I was just wondering what is the best possible route to becoming a Constable. I have been looking into the Special Constables programme but I haven't had much luck in finding any information. Any advice as to how to get ready for that kind of career, such as pathways would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to all.

Hi Everyone, I have recently joined the police community after finally applying to join Police Scotland. I applied in mid July after always considering this to be my long-term goal however I feel that the role requires a degree of maturity and life experience and it is for this reason that I waited until now to apply. I am nervous and excited that I have taken the leap and look forward to what's ahead. If anyone has any advice for 1st timers it would be much appreciated. Thanks

Hello, I'm new to this forum. I've just accepted a formal offer to start as a student officer with BTP on 02/10/17. I will eventually be posted to Liverpool. I joined this forum, after I passed my assessment centre. Mainly to observe and pick up some knowledge on the next steps. Thanks Cletus
