Two drug dealers have been jailed for smuggling cocaine worth £38k into the UK alongside the dancer acting as their drugs mule. Raymond Yates, 36, from Croydon and Elijah Thompson, 28, from New Addington, both south east London, conspired with Jade Cherise Sarwar, 25, from Newton Abbot, Devon, to import half a kilo of the class A drug from the Caribbean. Yesterday (04 November 2019), at Isleworth Crown Court, Sarwar was sentenced to six years in prison for her part in a conspiracy to import Class A drugs. Two Dutch men who smuggled vast quantities of cannabis from the Netherlands into the UK have been jailed following a National Crime Agency (NCA) investigation. Henrik Ruben, 28, and Dominic Leeman, 30, helped to import more than half a tonne of cannabis in two consignments of grated pizza cheese and salad toppings shipped to two warehouses in Slough, Berkshire. The drugs, which had an estimated street value of £5m, were intercepted at Dover Docks by Border Force officers on 16 June 2016 and 5 April 2016. Two men from Nottingham have been jailed for a total of five years after being found guilty of posting component parts of an AR15 assault rifle home while on holiday in Florida. Carlos Sen (26) and half-brother, Stephen Gibson (46), were convicted along with their partners, Rebekah Simons (25) and Louise Caswell (39), of conspiring to import and possess a firearm at Nottingham Crown Court yesterday. Sen was jailed today for three years, Gibson received a two-year sentence. Simons and Caswell were handed suspended sentences of 21 months and 15 months respectively.
