Hi everyone I applied for the role of PCSO back in October and passed the assessment day in January and have finally got my interview date at for later this week. Just wondered if anyone had any advice for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello I recently applied to become a special with NYP - Was very confident about all the stages. However, everything is getting rushed and i do not want to mess this opportunity up. I last night went to the 'Mandatory' Familiarization evening - Feeling confident when leaving but being told that I have the option to either go to the training centre this Sunday, which leaves me 3 days to prepare for it, which is a high risk as getting this far i do not want to fail, Or 10th May which will give me a month-ish to prepare myself. Hello, I thought it best to ask in the force specific forum as I am in the process of applying to the North Yorkshire specials. I have a defaulted account with Littlewoods (from a couple of years ago) payment plans are already in place and regular payments have been made through direct debit of the agreed amount, would this be enough for me to fail the vetting process or would it be passable due to there being a plan in place? Thanks in advance Martin

Just wondered if it was true that NYP constables were not issued with a flat cap but were issued with a Woolley hi viz hat (not as a direct replacement)?

Does anyone know when North Yorkshire Police will be recruiting for Special Constables again? Their website says: 'Please note, Special Constabulary recruitment is currently on hold - check back regularly for any updates' . I have been 'checking back reguarly' for over a year now just out of curiosity and no change.

After training and several assesments i have finally been sigend off to use the Pro Laser.
