Afternoon All I've just successfully passed the assessment centre with 66% and now have a suitability and IT skills test, does anyone have any advice on the suitability interview? Will it be competency based or more of a formal interview about you as a person? Thanks Sent from my iPad using Police Community

Evening, I was wondering if anyone who's applied to Gloucestershire has heard anything back about their online assessments. They closed at 1600 yesterday so was hoping for an email saying one way or the other today. Cheers

Welcome one and all. Please feel free to start discussing matters relating to Gloucestershire Constabulary. Do remember of course everything in here is still publicly available and viewable, but you can investigate 'safe areas' where on payment of a fee a separate room can be bought and set up. Whilst still subject to Police Community expectations, rules and regulations, it will be hidden from public view and available only to affirmed Gloucestershire Constabulary officers and staff.

Just heard back from Gloucestershire Constabulary and they have informed me I have failed my vetting! I've worked so hard for this and to say the least I am absolutely gutted! ? guess that's the end of the road for me ?

Hello there, I received an email from resourcing at Gloucestershire Constabulary yesterday notifying me that i have failed my security clearance. I have now appealed against this but if it does come back and i still have no luck is it possible to apply for another force rather than having to wait six months to apply for Gloucestershire again? Really devastated that I have failed the security clearance and i feel as though my childhood dream of becoming a police officer has been shattered after all the hard work put in to get this far. Sorry to babble on and I wish everyone else the very best with their progress within the recruitment stages. Duainep

Well I had my fitness test today for being a special at Gloucestershire Constabulary & after lots of worrying over the last couple of weeks I passed! Can't wait to hear back with my vetting clearance now and then it is on to uniform fitting!! :D :D I would have posted this post in force specific but I don't think anyone is active on there, would of been nice to chat with someone in the same force Hope your all having a good day, Soon be the weekend!!

Quick question really, I have my medical tomorrow and on the email it quotes "please wear loose fitting smart casual clothing." Would you class that as black shoes, trousers and a shirt or more on the lines of jeans and a shirt? Cheers Duaine

Hello all, we just looking through my old emails from gloucestershire constabulary and it's mad to think that it was the 1st Aug 2014 when I started the process! I'm just wondering if there is anyone on here who is currently awaiting a response from GC regarding medical & fitness test? I didn't do as good as I wanted to do on the AC scoring an overall of 56% so I should presume I'm going to be last on the waiting list! Cheers, Duaine
