Hi guys, Unfortunately I missed the November intake and am now booked in on the February 2011 intake:clapping: . My familirisation evening isn't until start of Feb and I was just wondering if Glos Pol give a boot allowance? With christmas coming up I was looking to send a letter to santa to get me a pair, but if Glos Pol give a boot allowance I will hang on. Also what other uniform did everyone get (shirts, trousers, warrant card holder etc...)? Many thanks, Rich

How often do you guys wear your custodians on duty? And what kind of shifts are you working whilst wearing them? Had my uniform fitting yesterday in Cheltenham and never realised how small my head was untill I put my custodian on! I look like an idiot! The flat cap ( if this is it's correct term) on the other hand looks rather good.

Just a quick one to serving specials....do you get supplied with a warrant card holder with Gloucestershire Constabulary crest on it? Thanks in advance, Rich

Morning all, I have just found this website and spent my time reading through various posts so thought I would introduce myself. My name is Martin, I am 22 years old and I have just this week sent my application form to Gloucestershire Constabulary to become a SC. I have been volunteering with my other half at one off events on and off since school; however, I wanted to find something that was more exciting, more regular and as my parents were both full-time officers (quite a while ago!) Hi Guys, I was looking to be within the November 2010 intake, but unfortunately my security clearance didn't get signed off in time. I received all my paperwork today and booked in for uniform fitting, familiarisation evening, and training start dates. Just wondering if anybody else active on the forums has received confirmation for Feb 2011 intake? Cheers, Richard

Hi Does anybody know when Gloucestershire will be recruiting Police officers and PCSO's ? Also when was the last time they recruited ?? Thanks

Is anyone else who has passed the a/c, fitness and medical and just waiting for vetting etc to come back, worried that with the freeze on recruiting in the public sector mentioned earlier today by george osborne it will affect our chances of getting in-again, as all this happened to us last year?
