Derbyshire Constabulary has committed a number of staff to assist the Metropolitan Police’s operation this morning, following a mutual aid request. Hi, everyone. Before going down the long route of applying for a special i just wondered if anyone could expand further on the eyesight requirements for colour blindness for derbyshire force? Are they strict on colour blindness? Is colour blindness a deffo no-no Do Derbyshire do a colour blind test and if so which one? If anyone could help with these questions that would be great thanks. I really dont want to go through weeks of waiting to be turned down on colour blindness grounds (Deuteranopia) or (Anomalous Trichomat).

Hi Guys, I've been studying this forum for weeks and thought I'd finally join in. I recently passed the paper sift and have now been invited for an Assessment & Fitness Test in 2 weeks! I'm quite confident about the Interview but I'm just wondering what kind of questions they will ask?? I've learnt all the competencies and their definitions just in case! Also for the bleep test...how hard is it exactly? I'm getting mixed reviews. Also is anybody applying for Derbyshire Constabulary?? Any advice & tips are welcome! Thanks Vicki

Hi all, I have my assessment day coming up shortly and am starting to feel a little nervous. I feel that no matter how much preperation I do before the selection process, I still have not done enough, In the interview, will I be asked about present initatives etc that are happening at Derbyshire Constabulary, or will it be purely the competency questions asked? can anyone (in general of course) explain what the written test consists of during the assessment day? Any informaion would be gratefully recieved. Thanks for reading.
