Just wondering how people found their overall assessment went. I received my feedback today and even though I Passed I'm disappointed, did anybody else feel like this?

Can anyone tell me how long the drug screening takes as I've been offered a time but it's during work time. Although I'm only in Alfreton the nature of my work means I will have to juggle things around quite a bit. I can't see what the altrernative arrangment could be.

Hi there, I am a Staffs Special. My grandmother is heavily involved with the running of a Brownie Pack, who are currently doing a Crime Prevention Badge - and as part of this they would have liked to arrange a visit from a Police Officer. They have spoken to people at Swadlincote Police Station who have said that they no longer do these sorts of things as standard, but suggested if we know of a Special Constable or someone who wanted to do it - then that'd be fine. Now obviously, I would, but the Brownies are based in Derbyshire, so I'd have to get permission really on my end and yours to come over just to do the talk. What I was basically wondering is if there were …

Hi guys. I'm going to be transferring from the met police to Derbyshire in April and wanted to ask a few questions in relation to how specials are used and what opportunities there are. I've been a special since 2007 first with Essex then with the met. I have ips, basic driver status and public order level 3. I was due to do my response driver course and public order level 2 with the met this summer and I'm now going to be leaving before hand. Does anyone know if I will get the opportunity to do this in Derbyshire? Also my preferred area of policing if traffic. Traffic in the met regularly recruit specials that are response trained and commit to the hours. This wa…

Hi All just wanted to say hi im new to Debyshire, i am applying for this constabulary as I have been told SYP is 2years + waiting now. i applied 2 x times before and failed and now taking my 3rd chance with Derbyshire. I have been told it is 8-12 weeks turnaround from application to booking you to start a course. If i am successful i want to work in the nearest division/nick to SYP i live in Rotherham, anyone know what that is likely to be as i really dont want to have to travel very far, also been told you can claim travek expense does anyone know what these are? Does anyone know what the pass marks are for Derpol?? i know it is all NPIA standard but wasnt sure if …

Does anyone know if Derbyshire specials can work on response? If they are only aloud on SNT teams does this mean if you can't work in the day it's pointless becoming a special?

Hi everyone Just been into Butterly hall this afternoon for a drugs screening test, unfortunately I'm a bit of a skinhead at the mo so my armpit hair had to come off . I also tried to go next door to the uniform fitting place but found out they're on annual leave and will have to come back to be measured! Passed the assessment centre & fitness test early this year and have been waiting for the results of my medical and vetting to come back (thankfully i've passed!) and i'm booked on to the 4 week training course starting late October. Is anybody else starting training soon and if so, what course are you on?
