Any news on when we can start using tapatalk again? 

Wish there was but we are in the hands of TapaTalk themselves, we need them to catch up with us but as soon as it's available again it'll be up and running.

​From memory but I believe it to be pretty accurate it was around 11% of our membership accessed reguarly via tapatalk. Not a massive number but its significant enough that I would like to bring it back when it's updated.

Is there anything we can do to apply pressure to tapatalk or have you already turned the thumb screws as it were?

im happy to email them with a request if you think it would help. But would need to know what forum software and version is in use I guess for the email to make sense.

TapaTalk are aware of the issues with their platform and are apparently trying to fix it  Many people have reported the issue and they have a change log that should keep you updated of how it is progressing

Not really a new feature but I miss the good old days of Daily Threads. The forum general chat thread just doesn't seem to be as active as the old way.

 

 

We haven't stopped the daily thread if that's what folks want.  The thing was that some folks missed the daily thread because they didn't log in for a couple of days and then didn't understand stuff that was being mentioned for a couple of days ago, the ongoing thread keeps it all in one place.

If you want to start and maintain a daily thread you can but experience says it won't get much whilst the general chat is there.

In the earliest days of the daily thread it used to have no problem in getting to over 30 pages, but this waned off so that's why we started a general chat thread.

Any chance for the return of the new content on the side? I missed that, since it was easy to see what new content was posted, rather than access New Content which, if you click next page too quickly, flood protection happens.

​Hi @miffy - Flood Protection does not occur for VIP members so if you upgrade that will be removed for you, secondly the Latest active topics does appear in the sidebar but again it is a VIP feature so is not visible to standard members. £5 a year and you get it all. It also really helps to support the site and keep it going.

There seems to be a few too many clicks since the update to get to the force specific thread. Usually you were able just to click on a force and that was it. But now once you click on the constabulary, and then into the force specific and then force wide discussions. Is there a way of streamlining this to once you click into the force that you are a member of that it goes straight to the force wide discussions page and then from there have the option of going into the other areas of that force specific bit?
