Jeremy Corbyn Government Would Face 'Mutiny' If It Tried To Downgrade Military, Army General Warns There have been plenty of offbeat predictions following Jeremy Corbyn’s election as leader of the Labour party. Fines for misusing bus lanes are overtaking parking tickets as the main cause of complaints from drivers, according to the AA. The motoring group said thousands of drivers were being "entrapped" by worn road markings and poor signage. A junction in Lambeth, south London generated the highest number of fines, totalling over £6m, the AA claimed. The Local Government Association said strict guidelines were already in place and drivers could appeal against fines. The number one complaint was drivers wanting to turn left who inadvertently merge into the bus lane early for safety reasons and are then caught on camera in the bus lane before they are allowed to be, the AA sai…

Hi all, On Sunday I move into my university accommodation in preparation for starting a Foundation Degree of Policing on the Monday. I'm incredibly excited but also somewhat nervous - do any of you have any tips for the first few weeks/general uni life? For example, I was going to be avoiding much of freshers week as my course requires me to uphold Police values - but having spoken to some of my class they have said they are planning on getting 'involved' (ie drinking). Of course I want to make friends during the first week but I also don't want any issues - what would you suggest? I'll keep you all posted on how it goes! Thanks in advance
