Russian athletes have been banned from competing in international competitions since November 2015Anti-doping officials in Russia are being stopped from testing athletes and threatened by security services, says a World Anti-Doping Agency report. An Aston Martin racing car with "an exceptional history" has been found by police 14 years after it was stolen. The DB2, which competed in the 1949 Le Mans 24-hour race, was taken in 2002 from Baldock, Hertfordshire. Police used intelligence to track it down to a storage facility in Eindhoven, Holland, in March this year. The car's owner at the time of the theft died before it was found so it was returned to a relative. It is being auctioned off for up to £900,000. The amount of vehicle excise duty collected from motorists fell by more than £200m in the six months after the tax disc was abolished, figures show. The data, obtained by the Financial Times, showed £2.7bn was collected in the six months after an online system was introduced in October 2014. Critics had warned the change would lead to confusion among motorists. The National Audit Office said the change had likely caused "an initial increase" in non-payment.
