Amazon was today urged to clamp down on acid sales after it emerged it is possible to bulk-buy the corrosive substance on the website for as little as £7 per bottle. The Evening Standard was able to place an order for 50 bottles of 91 per cent concentration acid on Amazon without any checks - despite a spate horrific attacks across the capital.
