Goncalo Esteves, 24, of Cape Close, Colchester, Essex, ran the website reFUD.me, which allowed offenders to test, for a fee, whether their malicious cyber tools could beat anti-virus scanners. Patrick McDonald, 23, of Crumlin, Northern Ireland was yesterday sentenced to four-and-a-half years in prison at Reading Crown Court yesterday following a National Crime Agency (NCA) investigation. The 46-year-old used the dark web to order the fragmentation grenades from a vendor and import them to the UK. Jinal Pethad, aged 29, from London, acted as ‘personal bank manager’ to money launderers Pavel Gincota and Ion Turcan, setting up 105 sham bank accounts for them using false ID documents. The appeal follows the seizure of 40kgs of cocaine found in a van by Border Force officers based at Coquelles in June 2017.
