Anthony Dennis Anthony Dennis, aged 48, from Ongar, Essex, plotted with criminals in the UK and overseas to import up to three tonnes of cocaine worth hundreds of millions of Euros into Europe. Dennis and his co-conspirator Anthony Wilson, aged 38, from Harlow, Essex, who was sentenced to 12 years in prison, were identified following an investigation by the National Crime Agency in cooperation with the Dutch National Police.…

Return to News16 November 2015 An Operation Captura fugitive has been arrested in Spain on suspicion of being a member of an international drug trafficking organisation. Michael Roden, aged 26, from Redditch, was captured on 4 November at an address in the town of Alomartes, Andalucia, but details could not be released until today to protect an ongoing Guardia Civil investigation being carried out in collaboration with the National Crime Agency. Roden was one of seven people apprehended for allegedly belonging to a criminal organisation involved in drug trafficking, illegal possession of firearms, money laundering and forgery. Home News Drug smuggling attempt led to violent kidnap Return to News 12 November 2015 A transport company owner and one of his truck drivers have been sentenced for conspiring together to import class A drugs worth more than £4 million - a plot which led to one of them being kidnapped by the other. Antony Joy (above right), 47, from Hereford was arrested after Border Force staff at Immingham found over 24 kilos of cocaine and two kilos of heroin stuffed behind a load of carpet tiles in the lorry he was driving. Return to News11 November 2015 Details of more than 30,000 individual cyber crime threats have been shared with internet hosting companies as part of a programme of industry engagement carried out by the National Crime Agency (NCA), and CERT-UK (the UK’s Computer Emergency Response Team). Washer bottle drug smuggler jailed A driver who attempted to smuggle liquid amphetamine worth more than £1million into the UK hidden in a windscreen washer bottle has been jailed. Border Force officers stopped 32-year-old Marcin Leon Prokop, a Polish national living in Leicester, as he arrived at Dover Eastern Docks on 22 October. When they searched his British registered Peugeot tests showed that a yellow liquid in the windscreen washer bottle contained amphetamine. Prokop told investigators from the National Crime Agency that he collected the drugs in Belgium and was due to deliver them to a location in Birmingham, where he would be paid around £2,000.
