Robert Dimmock, aged 60, of Doncaster, who absconded in 2010, was arrested in Bulgaria after NCA intelligence led the country’s authorities to his hideout. Dimmock was known by the nickname ‘SAS Bob’, an image he did nothing to dispel despite never having served in the SAS. The International Anti-Corruption Coordination Centre (IACCC), hosted by the UK’s National Crime Agency, brings together specialist law enforcement officers from multiple jurisdictions into a single location to tackle allegations of grand corruption. The sentence, delivered at Birmingham Crown Court today (29 June 2017), follows an investigation by the National Crime Agency (NCA).
