When making allegations of harassment, she seemingly lied to police about being in a relationship with the individual whom went onto murder her and it is this lie or omission that police allege would have led to him not being arrested had she been ‘honest’. However, they seemingly failed to investigate the wider conduct and background of the individual, which would have contained a number of ‘red flags’ about his behaviour.
