Latest news Walsall pensioner dies in collision with lorry 12/11/2016 A Walsall man has died after being struck by a lorry on Pleck Road, Walsall yesterday (Friday 11 November). Police were called to the scene around 1.45pm just outside Walsall Manor Hospital. The 76-year-old pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead in hospital a short time later. The man’s family have been informed and are being supported by officers from the force’s Family Liaison Unit. Latest news Hit and run victim named as police hunt driver 12/11/2016 A woman who died in a suspected hit and run in a Birmingham street has been named as Erdington woman Clair McKenzie. The 35-year-old was found collapsed in Sutton New Road at around 3.45am yesterday (11 November). Despite the best efforts of the ambulance service it became apparent that nothing could be done to save her life and she died at the scene.
