Over 20 calls of a malicious and racist nature were made to operators over the last two months. Latest news Area of Frankley cordoned off following firearm discharge 27/07/2017 Police have cordoned off an area in Hereford Close in Frankley, Birmingham following a firearm discharge last night (Wednesday 27 July). At around 9pm, a firearm was discharged by an armed officer which resulted in one man being taken to hospital with a gunshot injury. Another man has been arrested for suspected firearm offences. Selina Simms is the mother of Disharn Downie, 19, and partner of Isaiah Wright-Young, 37, who are both serving life sentences for shooting Kenichi as he sat in a car in St Marks Crescent, Ladywood in March 2016.
