    Latest news Man arrested following Wednesbury assault 10/07/2017 An investigation has been launched and a man has been arrested following an assault in Friar Park, Wednesbury yesterday evening (9 July). Officers were called to Friar Park Road at around 7.45pm following reports that a man had been attacked with a bladed weapon thought to be a machete. The 35-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries and remains in a critical but stable condition. A 53-year-old man was arrested a short time later from a nearby address on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in custody. View the full article

The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested on Saturday (8 July) following a fight at an address in Twickenham Road at around 12.56pm that resulted in the death of a 23-year-old man.     Latest news School girl fatally injured in Castle Vale collision 07/07/2017 A schoolgirl has died in a collision between a minicoach and a bin lorry in Castle Vale this morning (Friday 7 July).
