Hi guys I went through the SEARCH assessment centre today and I was really pleased with my role plays which I did first. I'm pretty confident about the way the interview went too. My verbal communication exam wasn't bad. I however had a complete mind blank and messed up on the numerical exam! Also I very rarely hand write things so my handwriting for the written proposals was pretty bad and although I believe what's written in the proposals is good I think that there is a good chance I could be failed on the handwriting not being good enough to read. Does anybody know how the centre is scored? Is it based on a percentage for the whole day or could you fail for not hitt…

Hey guys. I went to the recruitment evening ages ago. Passed my assessment centre. Had my uniform fit and passed my fitness test Sunday just gone (6th oct) Medical in November. My questions, how fast do things progress from here? When should I expect uniform? What training is there? When would I get my collar number. (Interested to know as I already work for West Midlands Police) Thanks SG1

I'm not sure if Warwickshire have a different name for this crime but in West Yorkshire we call a burglary to specifically steal car keys a 'Hanoi burglary'. The story is that, without going into too much detail, my Dad was a victim of this crime in the past few days. Both cars gone and woken up by two of Warwickshire's finest at the bottom of his stairs as his door had been left wide open by the offenders. I'm just wondering if there's a lot of car crime in Warwickshire, and the Atherstone area in particular? Again, not too much detail as I'm aware of the problem with posting it on a website, even a Police friendly one like this. Thanks in advance

Im nearly in the specials and im wondering what radio model they use? Im looking at earpeices as I prefer to use these. Im not going to buy until im told im in but any idea what model I need the earpiece to fit? or if they supply one? Thanks

Anyone on the Specials intake for January Training? I had my uniform measured today and really cant wait to get out there!

So anyone got any information on the Warwickshire Folding cuffs? are they as good as the rigig Hiatt ones? Anyone got a pic of these ones?

I have been thinking.... (yes it hurts) Do you receive your collar number before you get your uniform? or do you just find it out when you get the uniform?

Surely there must be more of you on here? If your on this training then say hi! I got sent an email today with 30 names on it so I know there's at least 30 people on it! Uniform pick up 23rd so excited, just hope it fits after Christmas

Hello, Just after some help, I should start my training in Jan, just wondering if there is any books worth buying/reading that will help with training? I have already started browsing the PND / PVH systems whilst I am on down time at work . Whilst I am not new to reading the PACE book I find it heavy going at times. any suggestion’s welcomed many thanks Sam

Does anyone know what happens on this date? Do they just measure you? In another post it says you actually pick up your uniform the same day? I cant see it myself. Im joining Warwickshire as a special.

So Im one step away from becoming a special for Warwickshire. What equipment do they supply you with? Like boots ect? ive heard they give you a limited amount for boots? What about Cuff keys ect.. Is there anything I need to buy to make my life easier? Note book ect.. Any advice would be gratefully received. Thanks, Neal
