Hi All, Received an e-mail the other day from CoLP HR informing me the Specials assessment day is in October. Passed the sift a few months ago, so glad to finally have a date :lol: Anyone on here attending? Apparently the packs should be sent out next week with a firm date. Cheers, Tom

I just applied to the City Police and for some reason I can't stop quivering! I tell thee, my heart jumped into my mouth when I saw the recruitment thing on Police Could You. And I must say the lady on the other end of the phone was very friendly too. I doubt I'll get in as I'm still working on various qualifications and things that would hopefully improve my chances, but I suppose it's worth a go. But yes, I believe the deadline is May 15th, or around that time. Good luck ladies and gentlemen!

Just a post to see how many will be starting in august this year. I've had everything completed now including references, so i'm guessing this is the offical start date (not provisional).

Ive heard the City of London refered to as the 'square mile', does the actual city of London consist of one square mile or is this just the main financial area? My second stupid questions is what the SQ mileage that the CoLP cover? Regards Bluebird.

Hello everyone, I was just wondering if anyone here is waiting on their second interview for City of London Police? I've taken 2 day one's before with different forces and been let down both times, but never been in this possition before or heard of anyone else being where I am!? I've passed both the competency based questionaire and my day one assessment centre with COLP and have now been told to attend a second interview because there aren't enough spaces for the ammount of successful applicants! Whats all that about? Any thoughts?

Established in 1919, the Honourable Artillery Company Detachment of Special Constabulary is part of the City of London Police, and assists in maintaining law and order in the City of London. The HAC, which was set up "to attend to the better encrease of the defence of this our Realme", frequently provided aid to the Civil Power prior to the establishment of the Metropolitan Police in 1829.
