I'm at a loss trying to email somebody... How do you spell the surname pronounced "in" ?

I may have misheard. It could also have been pronounced "imm" (like "impress" not "I'm") Any suggestions much appreciated.

Ing (an eye not an elI)? That said, Ling, Lynn, Lynne?

How many thousands of variants can there be!

"Ng" perhaps?

Could be right, we have a Mr. **** Ng at work and it is pronounced 'In'

As Prolixia said, quite possibly Ng. It's a Cantonese Chinese surname pronounced "Ung" with a lazy, "u"
