Here's one for any Android experts out there.

On my Nexus 7 I can remove apps. However on my phone there are certain apps that cannot be completely removed, the likes of Twitter/Facebook etc.

If I go into the Root folder on my phone via the PC, where can I remove the apps from there??

A lot of manufacturers and networks put their own stuff onto Android as part of the ROM, which means you can't just delete them off. What you need to do is root your phone and then install an app that will allow the desired apps to be either frozen (they won't load or run) or delete them completely. Do a quick search on Google for rooting android for instructions - there is some risk but follow the instructions and you should be fine :)

Once rooted, I used Titanium Backup which not only allows me to freeze / kill apps it also allows me to keep backups of my system.

One of the very nice things about Android is it allows a lot of freedom to do lots of things, for instance I am running CyanogenMod9 on my Galaxy SII which is very nice :)
