G.Retriever 147
Hello all, I have the option on my course next year to take a module(s) in a language (which will be French.) Can someone who has taken a module in a language before offer me some advice? I don't find language comes naturally to me but have a desire to learn a second language. I studied French until GCSE and achieved grade B although don't feel that reflects my ability to speak French, more my ability to pass an exam... My course is not related to languages so it would be potentially a little obscure to take a language credit - but useful should I decide to work abroad etc etc. My questions really are these: Did you find taking a language module useful both in your academic development but also later on in your career? How much were you able to learn in one/ two terms of university? Any other thoughts?! Thanks all, G.R
