ataylor0 30
Help please.. Im having a dire time with my Clio.. First the thermostat goes.. and reads 60C. Fixed. Fuel Pump Goes.. Fixed Now.. its leaking Coolant/antifreeze stuff everywhere.. Does anyone know how i can fix this? If its just dripping from under the engine is it likely to be a pipe.. or a bigger part of the engine.. Any other pointers would be useful please. I suspect the leak is probably from the thermpatsy housing Thermostat even!
killicksparker 0
Sorry for the quite with no post, blasted iPhone! I suspect the leak is probably from the thermpatsy housing Thermpatsy housing - is that somewhere between the radibubble regulator and the carbutorking flange :D On a serious note - did they replace the gasket on the thermostat when they replaced it - they forgot to put one on when they did mine and my car lost all its bodily fluids over the road :smiley_offtopic:

IrateShrike + 1,846
As said above, no point trying to guess. The fact that the system was disturbed when the thermostat was changed points to that as a likely cause, and I too would guess the gasket wasn't renewed or was left out at reassembly. It might be hard to trace the leak exactly when wet, but when allowed to dry you might see the coolant start to crystallise around the leak area.
