Does anyone know of a rear cycle carier which is suitable for a Seat Ibiza MK5, most of them say that is not recommened because it has a rear spoiler, personally I wouldnt call it a proper spoiler on it

its down to you, they are just worried that the straps will dammage the spoiler, I had the same problem a while ago and decided to just buy one anyway and it worked fine, the only other ones I found that didnt have straps were too expensive!

If you have a towbar fitted, I'd recommend one of these

Link (I'm recommending the product, not the company. I've never dealt with them, so have no idea what they're like)

The original idea was an American design I believe. I've had one for years. You simply unbolt the tow ball, put the base on and bolt the tow ball back over the top. The two arms of the cycle carrier then slot (and pin) into the base as needed. And you don't need straps to hold the cycle carrier on the car. thumbsup.gif

They are about £100 though sad.gif

As some one who worked for Halfrauds (my own opinion and not that of PS.Com) For an awfull long time. Ive fitted numerous High Mount cycle carriers to cars with roof top spoilers and had no problems what so ever. They put those warnings on to cover there own backside. The spoilers only really risk being damaged if the carrier if fitted losely and it jumps about. If you get the carrier on the back of the vehicle as tight as you can you should be fine.

Only my opinion on the matter though, if you do decide to do it its on your own head! B-)
