Yeahduffman1546081096 30
2 rings is overheating if I recall correctly, so it should shut itself down and activate the fans until cooled. Mine's broken 3 times in total, and I simply rang Microsoft support and they repaired it for free, so I'd advise doing the same really.

PoliceMadAd 5
Or get a PS3 and experience console gaming at it's finest! I once turned my PS3 on, and unknown to me at the time, the plug into the wall wasn't fully in, and i got a flashing yellow light where the power indicator is. After hearing about the 'Yellow Light Of Death', i absolutely cacked myself, until i figured out the problem.
Damsel + 2,111
OK, this is about help for a problem with an Xbox 360. Let's not turn it into yet another 'my choice of console is better than yours' type thread.

Bubba1546080759 335
If MS won't fix for free, I think its around 80 quid. I think I remember then saying they would only fix the 3 red rings for free. I had the video card fault with mine, they wouldn't fix it, so I induced the 3 red rings and then they fixed it I promptly sold it and bought a ps3
Soapyw 38
throw it in the bin and get an elite with the jasper motherboard. no ring off death ever again! simples I have the elite and got rings (cant remember how many!) a while back. I was out of warranty but for that particular fault they offered repair outside of warranty, so definitely worth checking first. Mine broke just before a holiday, I sent it off and it was returned a couple of days after I got back, perfect!
Paradox + 666
Go to your nearest Gamestation shop, give them your old broken 360 and £20 and they will give you a working traded in 360 as a replacement with a two year warranty on it. That's what I did with mine.
