RMP1546080921 1
Try Niton or better still ask St. John Ambulance to provide you with one.
The EHO 1
How strange! All our EHO's are kitted out with hi-vis from St John Supplies! You should try them - they have some really good stuff! http://www.stjohnsupplies.co.uk/ The EHO!
The Mad Taff + 0
Correct me if I'm wrong, but if it's classed as PPE, then don't St. John's have to provide it to you?
RMP1546080921 1
Correct me if I'm wrong, but if it's classed as PPE, then don't St. John's have to provide it to you? From the way Ryan W is asking I would presume he requires it and thus it is the responsibility of St. John Ambulance: "Every employer shall ensure that suitable personal protective equipment is provided to his employees who may be exposed to a risk to their health or safety while at work except where and to the extent that such risk has been adequately controlled by other means which are equally or more effective." The Personal Protective Equipment at Work Regulations 1992 If their risk assessment deems it unnecessary, by virtue say of job role (e.g. indoors only), then there isn't a statutory requirement for it to be provided. Responsibility to maintain equipment in good working order/condition is bourne by the employee.
rescueme 0
Ryan try St John Supplies but be aware that the pockets on their jackets, for reflective badges. Are a different size and only take their own badges. However if you are going to put a St John badge on it you'll have to get them from there anyway! Otherwise try SP Services or Galls/Dynamed

rescueme 0
Thing is, is a St John Ambulance volunteer classed as an employee or not? I doubt it very much. Just as Mountain Rescue Teams don't have to issue PPE like boots and the such like.

I've checked and voluntary workers are included unless the organisation has an exemption certificate.
rescueme 0
I've checked and voluntary workers are included unless the organisation has an exemption certificate. I suppose that's a good job, otherwise we wouldn't be covered when we were out on duty!

andrew iom + 0
St John Green/Yellow Hi-Vis waistcoat - £16.65 http://www.stjohnsupplies.co.uk/products/d...roductId=U02066 St John Cadet Badge (Rear) - £3.75 http://www.stjohnsupplies.co.uk/products/d...roductId=F90054 St John Cadet Badge (Front) - £1.75 http://www.stjohnsupplies.co.uk/products/d...roductId=F90221 I believe that if you are a Cadet out with St John then they should provide you with one although some people do buy their own so they don't have to share. If you buy it through your County/Division, then they might get them cheaper. Andrew.

Peter1546080903 0
SJA will supply the uniform that you need, however some things which are considered extra you need to buy yourself, or they may pay some of it. (if your lucky) Talk to your cadet leader. They should know how to go about it.
