A man is seriously injured in hospital after rampaging through a children's play centre and falling through a balcony while trying to evade police. He stormed through the play centre in Bradford, which provides play areas for children under 12 and toddlers, and allegedly “grabbed” customers “by the throat and slapped them”, witnesses said. A woman dialled 999 to tell police she had been “mugged off” by a takeaway company that delivered her a mushroom pizza instead of a meat feast. A recording of the exchange was released by Essex Police as part of a campaign against hoax and inappropriate calls. Four teenagers have been arrested after a group of yobs allegedly attacked a woman with flour and eggs and posed for a Snapchat picture of their “severely distressed” victim. The woman, aged in her forties, was disabled and vulnerable, according to posts on social media. Police said she was set upon by a group of teenagers who threw flour and eggs on her after a verbal altercation on Friday evening.
