Some of the recent news stories are really depressing, people getting stabbed to death, people abusing children, it just seems endless, even the Police are saying the amount of child abuse cases is "overwhelming" surely something has to be done? Not seen this debate done before on this forum, so it would be interesting to hear peoples views. My view is only people convicted of the most heinous crimes, should be given the death penalty, surely people will be put off committing such crimes, if there is an equally harsh punishment in place.
