I see. Mr Osborne has the time to be an MP, work for a bank and now editor of a daily paper. Yet a few short years ago MPs were - and probably still are - against emergency services workers having second jobs because it's the main job they should be focusing on. So what's Mr Osborne's full-time job then? Marine conviction reduced to manslaughter 15 March 2017 From the section UK A Royal Marine, jailed for shooting an injured Taliban fighter in Afghanistan, has had his murder conviction reduced to manslaughter by an appeal court. Sergeant Alexander Blackman, 42, from Taunton, Somerset, had been given a life sentence in 2013.
